82-year-old female:
Postoperative control of a total hip arthroplasty.

Femoral component

Coxarthrosis

Prosthesis

Right total hip replacement. The femoral component is uncemented and has a press-fit fixation.

Acetabular component

Coxarthrosis

Prosthesis

The acetabular component is held by press-fit and one screw in the pelvis.

Staples

Metallic staples for surgical wound closure.

Length conservation

Preservation of the length of the operated leg can be assessed by drawing a line along the ischial tuberosity and measuring its distance to the lesser trochanter. Here, this distance is the same on both sides.

Abduction

The acetabular component abduction can also be measured, here at 40°. This is the target perioperative value.
