17-year-old male:
Back deformity.

Rotoscoliosis

Scoliosis

Rachis misalignment

Thoracic rotoscoliosis with right convexity of 56° between T3 and T12. The wide thoracic curvature without lumbar compensation suggests this is not an idiopathic scoliosis.

Apex at T7

The apical vertebra is T7.

Rotational component

Rotation of the vertebrae can be assessed by looking at the spinous processes on the anteroposterior view. The spinous processes are not central at the level of the deformity, compared to the rest of the column.

Risser 4

The iliac crest anteroposterior view shows the ossification of almost all the apophysis. This is thus a Risser grade 4.

Risser grading

Bone maturity is estimated with the level of ossification of the crest apophysis throughout the indicated zones.

Gastrostomy

Clips, drains and catheters

This patient has a jejunostomy tube. This is probably of a neuromuscular scoliosis.
