52-year-old male:
Eversion ankle trauma after falling on ice.

Weber B

Unimalleolar fracture (lateral)

Linear hypodensity

Nondisplaced oblique fracture of the lateral malleolus without comminution. Because it is at the level of the syndesmosis, it is therefore a Weber B type fracture.

Tibiofibular overlap

The tibiofibular overlap is greater than 1 cm. There is probably no syndesmotic injury.

Tibiofibular clear space

The tibiofibular clear space is less than 4-5 mm on the mortise view (2 mm here). There is probably no syndesmotic injury.

Talocrural angle

Angulation measurement

The talocrural angle is about 10°. There is probably no syndesmotic injury.

Enthesopathy

Linear hyperdensity

Calcaneal tendon (Achilles tendon) enthesopathy.

Medial clear space

The medial clear space is less than 4-5 mm. There is probably no syndesmotic injury.

Weber A

Unimalleolar fracture (lateral)

A Weber A type fracture would be here.

Weber C

Unimalleolar fracture (lateral)

A Weber C type fracture would be here.
