27-year-old female:
Pain after hitting a wall with her fist.

Metacarpal fracture (5th)

Linear hypodensity

Nondisplaced oblique diaphyseal fracture of the 5th metacarpal bone.

Preserved alignment

Angulation measurement

The angle between the 2 parts was measured at 0°. Therefore, alignment is preserved.

Length measurement

There is no shortening of the fractured metacarpal. A normal progression of length from the 5th to the 3rd metacarpal bones can be seen (with the 5th being shorter than the 4th).

Boxer's fracture

A true Boxer's fracture would be here.

Bennett fracture

Bennett's fracture would be here.
