C1 fracture

Bone deformity

The odontoid view shows a widening of the lateral masses of C1 when compared to the limits of C2, which is highly suggestive of a C1 burst fracture (Levine type 5).

Diastasis

On the open mouth anteroposterior view, the space between the odontoid and C1 is symmetrical at 4 mm on both sides.

C5 fracture

A C5 sagittal fracture can be seen on the anteroposterior view.
